Celebrate Spring on Chappies

Monday, 14 September 2020 11:01

The flowers are out and the days are getting warmer – spring has sprung!

After a wonderfully wet - and quite chilly - winter we are delighted to welcome spring, and there is no better place to celebrate the new season than a drive over Chapmans Peak. Cape Town’s iconic drive is quite possibly the most beautiful drive on earth and the perfect place to enjoy the warmer weather.

Win a month of free Chappies trips in the Frequent User competition

If you use Chappies more than twice a month, it’s worth it to sign up as a Frequent User. A Chapmans Peak Drive Frequent User Card gives users a reduced rate at the tollgate, saving you money. The more you use the road, the more money you save.

A chance to win free Chappies trips for a month is still up for grabs in our Frequent User competition. (The number of  trips will be based on the average number of trips taken by the winner for the last three months.) To sign up for a Frequent User Card, visit the Entilini office at the tollgate, you’ll see designated parking for visitors, and fill out the registration form. You can also download the Frequent User Card Registration form from the website, fill it out at home and hand it in at the Chappies office. Please be sure to wear a mask when you visit our offices.

Day Passes are available again

With the relaxation of Government’s COVID-19 restrictions, our Day Passes are available again. This allows you to use part of Chapman's Peak Drive for free travelling from North to South (Hout Bay to Noordhoek) only. You can visit all the designated picnic areas, viewing spots and mountain trails before the Day Pass Control Point. The vouchers are valid from 6am until 8pm over the summer months, so come and enjoy the sunsets. Get it from the Toll Gate on the Hout Bay side of Chappies.

No alien clearing for the rest of the year

There will be no alien clearing for the rest of this year. This means that Chappies will be open all day, every day – depending on the weather. To keep you safe, we have to close the drive in dangerous weather conditions. On stormy or windy days, check our regularly updated Chappies Facebook page to make sure the drive is open.
